One Prayer at a Time

Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.

I pray that... they may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Jesus Christ before he was cruxified

I used to be envious of Jesus. I love the deep connection he has with God. They are so close that they are one. Imagine that kind of intimacy and love with someone. And not just anyone. We are talking about the Creator of the universe, the most powerful being in the cosmos.

Then when I listened to Jesus' prayer again, I saw it. Yes, it is possible for me to have the kind of relationship with God that Jesus has. Jesus prayed for me to have it and he went on to die on the cross to make that a reality. Now I just have to learn how.
